Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. red beans
    1 lb. sausage
    1/2 lb. smoked ham hock
    1 onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. parsley
    1 large bay leaf
    1/2 bell pepper
Preparation
    Brown meat.
    Drain off excess fat.
    Saute onions, garlic and bell pepper in fat from the meat.
    Add your meat and beans and 8 to 10 cups of water.
    Season to taste.
    Boil gently, stirring occasionally for 1 hour.
    Add bay leaf.
    Cook for 1/2 to 1 hour longer or until beans are tender.
