Baked Vidalia Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 jumbo Vidalia onions
    1 stick butter, melted
    14 Ritz crackers, crushed
    1/3 to 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
    1 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Slice onions into rings 5/8-inch thick.
    Blanch them for 2 minutes and drain.
    Combine the melted butter, crushed crackers and cheese.
    Layer 1/3 of the onions in the bottom of a large, rectangular pan.
    Sprinkle them with 1/3 of the cracker mixture. Repeat the layers two more times.
    Sprinkle with the milk.
