Sopapillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. lard
    1 1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Knead all ingredients together.
    Let stand while heating oil in a shallow skillet (about 1/3 full).
    Roll out dough; cut into any shape.
    Put into hot oil, brown on both sides and drain on paper towel.
