Granny Fussell'S Pecan Pie(Yields 8 Servings) - cooking recipe

1 c. crushed pecans
1 c. light Karo syrup
3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. oleo or butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation

Prebake one 9-inch pie shell and set aside.
Break 3 eggs in bowl and let come to room temperature.
Put Karo, sugar and melted oleo in pot and mix.
Slowly mix in eggs and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Stir in pecans and cook 1 more minute.
Pour mixture into baked pie shell and put into 400\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes (or until sealed over good).
