Orange Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large orange
    2 c. unsifted flour
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. salad oil
    4 eggs
    2 c. grated carrots
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Wash orange; cut into 8 wedges.
    Remove white center; cut wedges into 3 or 4 pieces.
    Remove any seeds; puree in electric blender.
    In large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
    Add oil, orange puree and eggs; mix thoroughly.
    Blend in carrots and nuts.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 15 x 3-inch pan.
    Bake in moderate 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour, or until cake tester comes out clean.
    Remove from oven; cool cake in pan.
    Cut into squares or slices.
    Dust with confectioners sugar before serving.
    Serves 12.
