Hard Rock Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    3/4 c. light Karo
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. flavoring
    food coloring
Preparation
    Boil the first 3 ingredients until hard boil without stirring, until hard crack stage (310\u00b0).
    Remove from heat.
    Add flavoring and food color; pour onto buttered cookie sheet.
    Cool.
    Butter hands and scissors; cut to desired sizes.
