Barbecued Ham In Pita Pockets - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. oil
2 1/2 c. shredded cooked smoked ham
1/2 c. diced green pepper
1 small onion, diced
8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. black pepper
3 loaves pita or 6 split and toasted hamburger buns
2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
Preparation

In a large skillet, heat oil and saute ham, green pepper and onion until lightly browned.
Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, vinegar, chili powder, mustard and pepper; simmer 10 minutes. Meanwhile, warm pita loaves in oven.
Cut pita in half and with fingers, spread pocket open in each half and spoon in ham mixture or fill hamburger buns.
