Fettuccine With Sausage And Green Pepper Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage, cut into pieces
    1/4 c. water
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained and cut up
    1 large green pepper, sliced
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (2.5 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/2 tsp. basil leaves
    8 oz. uncooked fettuccine
Preparation
    In a large skillet or Dutch oven, bring sausage and water to a boil.
    Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Drain.
    Continue cooking over medium heat until sausage begins to brown.
    Stir in onion and green pepper.
    Saute until onion and pepper are crisp-tender.
    Add tomatoes, tomato paste, mushrooms and basil.
    Simmer 15 minutes to blend flavors.
