Semur Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. sifted cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 large eggs, separated
    granulated sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    On wax paper, sift together flour, cornstarch and salt.
    In large bowl, beat egg yolks slightly.
    Gradually beat in 1/2 cup sugar.
    Continue to beat until mixture is very thick and ivory color.
    Add water and vanilla; beat until evenly blended.
    At low speed beat in flour mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, until blended.
