Red Velvet Delight - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 oz. red food coloring
2 level Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. soda
Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, food coloring and vanilla.
Sift flour before measuring.
Sift cocoa, salt and flour together.
Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, starting and stopping with flour.
Beat until smooth and creamy. In a separate bowl, mix together soda and vinegar.
Fold into batter.
Pour into two 9-inch pans that have been greased and lined with wax paper.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
