Shredded Pork Barbecue - cooking recipe

1 can (15 1/2 oz.) tomato sauce
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1 Tbps. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. water
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. ground cumin
1 Tbsp. dry mustard
1 Tbsp. thyme
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. liquid smoke
3 lb. boneless pork shoulder, trimmed of fat and cut into 1 inch thick slices
Preparation

In large skillet, over medium heat, combine first six ingredients, the seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, water and pork. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer until pork is tender, about 50 minutes. Remove pork to a 9x13 inch pan. Cover and let stand 30 minutes. Keep sauce warm. Using 2 forks, shred pork. Return to skillet and over medium heat cook until heated through, about 10 minutes.
