Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks margarine
    5 c. sugar
    1 large can evaporated milk
    1 (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate bits
    1 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Stir sugar, butter, milk and salt until mixed.
    Boil 6 minutes after coming to a rolling boil.
    Stir constantly.
    Be sure to time carefully. Remove from heat.
    Add nuts, chocolate bits and vanilla.
    Stir until almost cool.
    Pour into buttered pan.
