Ingredients

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. softened butter or margarine
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

In a bowl, cream the sugar and butter.
Add egg and vanilla. Mix thoroughly.
In a different bowl, mix dry ingredients together, then add to creamed mixture.
Divide dough in half. Refrigerate a couple of hours.
Roll out to desired thickness. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes or until light golden brown.
