Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. fresh strawberries
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 Tbsp. milk
9-inch baked pie shell
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red food coloring
whipped cream
Preparation

Wash and stem berries. Soften cream cheese with milk and spread in bottom of pie shell.
Place one-half of the best berries in pie shell.
Heat remaining berries in water.
When berries are soft, add to sugar mixture of cornstarch and salt. Return to heat and cook until thick.
Add food coloring.
Pour over berries in pie shell.
Chill.
Top with whipped cream before serving.
