Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and molasses.
    Sift dry ingredients and add.
    Roll into balls; dip tips in sugar and place on a cookie sheet.
    Do not flatten.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 5 dozen.
