24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    1/2 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 stalks celery
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 head lettuce, torn
    1 3/4 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    bacon bits
Preparation
    In a large bowl, put frozen peas.
    Layer chopped onion, pepper, celery and cheese.
    Add lettuce pieces.
    Spread mayonnaise on top of lettuce.
    Sprinkle sugar over mayonnaise.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Toss before serving.
    Sprinkle with bacon bits.
