Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. milk
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. ground mace
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. water
    4 c. sliced peaches
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    For biscuit topper, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine milk and egg.
    Add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just to moisten.
    Set aside.
