Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine butter, sugar and about half the flour until mixed. Add the rest of flour and vanilla.
Work with hands until smooth. Chill.
Flatten dough to cover a 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan. Press edges with fork.
Prick with fork here and there.
Bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for about 45 to 55 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
Cut into squares while still warm.
