Nut Gems - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    2 tsp. rum flavoring
    confectioners sugar
    2 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. water
    red or green decorating sugar
Preparation
    Sift flour, measure; sift again.
    Cream butter and sugar and cream until smooth.
    Blend in flour; stir in nuts, water and rum flavor.
    Mix well.
    Shape into 1-inch balls and bake in ungreased pans at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
