Cherry Nut Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
3 3/4 c. plain flour
3/4 c. milk
5 oz. maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
Preparation

Cream together Crisco and sugar until creamy; beat 10 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add vanilla and almond flavoring and blend well.
Alternate flour with milk.
Mix well after each addition.
Fold in cherries.
Pour into large greased tube pan.
Put in cold oven; set oven at 275\u00b0.
Bake for 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Cool, then frost (recipe follows).
