Colonaid Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    6 Tbsp. white Karo
    6 egg whites
    1/3 c. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Place sugar, water and Karo in saucepan. Boil until mixture spins a thread. Stir and watch (it will boil over). Beat egg whites until stiff (beat with electric mixer). Add syrup in small stream and beat on high speed until it stands in peaks. Add sifted powdered sugar.
