Aunt Sandy'S Canned Pie Filling(Apple Or Blueberry) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. tapioca
    2 c. sugar
    2 qt. plus 2 c. apple juice or apple cider
    4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg (for apple only)
    1 tsp. salt
    6 qt. prepared fruit
Preparation
    Combine tapioca, sugar and juice in 8-quart kettle.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Stir and bring to a boil.
    Cook 5 to 10 minutes.
    Add flavorings; stir in fruit.
    Heat just to boiling.
    Pack in 7 quart jars 3/4 inch from top.
    Hot water bath for 45 minutes.
