Garden Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. fresh green beans
    1 Tbsp. butter, melted
    3 medium carrots, sliced into thin strips
    1 large green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    2 c. celery, sliced
    1 1/2 tsp. salt or less
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained), chopped
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Pour 1 tablespoon melted butter into a 3-quart casserole to coat surface.
    Layer beans, carrots, green pepper, onion, tomatoes, and celery in baking dish.
    Combine salt, pepper, sugar and cornstarch; mix well and sprinkle over vegetables.
    Dot with 3 tablespoons butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, or until vegetables are tender.
    Yields 10 servings.
