Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2-1/2 cups flour
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
2/3 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Preparation

Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt; add shortening and bananas.
Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla and beat two minutes on medium.
Turn into pans and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until done.
Cool ten minutes on wire rack.
Remove from pans.
Frost with cream cheese frosting and garnish with finely chopped walnuts.
