Kid'S Play Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring for scent (optional)
Preparation
    Cook in 1 1/2-quart saucepan 4 to 5 minutes over medium heat until mixture forms ball, stirring vigorously.
    Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes.
    Knead dough until blended smoothly.
    Cool; store in airtight containers.
    A few drops of food coloring may be added to dough that has been divided and put in Ziploc bags. Knead dough to blend food coloring.
    After using dough, will keep longer in refrigerator.
