Apple Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. apples, coarsely chopped
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. shortening
2 Tbsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts (optional)
raisins (optional)
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
Combine dry ingredients. Blend all together.
Add vanilla.
Fold in apples, walnuts and raisins.
Spread in greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan evenly. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Serve warm with whipped topping.
