Baked Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
    3 medium carrots, sliced
    5 stalks celery, diced
    3 medium onions, cut up
    1 pt. quartered tomatoes
    2 medium potatoes, cubed
    3 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 slices bread (1/2-inch cubes)
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine ingredients in a large roaster or casserole; cover. Cook 5 hours at 250\u00b0.
    Never remove lid while cooking.
    Serves 4 to 6.
