Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    1 c. liquid from raisins
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. butter or shortening
    1 3/4 c. sugar (1/2 white, 1/2 brown)
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine raisins and water in saucepan.
    Heat to boiling and cook 3 minutes.
    Cool to room temperature.
    Do not drain.
    Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
    Stir in raisins and liquid.
    Add flour mixture gradually.
    Stir in nuts. Drop by tablespoonfuls about 1 inch apart onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0, 12 to 15 minutes.
