Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 pkg. miniature marshmallows
Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
Beat.
Mix together flour, cocoa and salt.
Add to creamed mixture.
Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Remove from oven, but leave it on.
Spread marshmallows over cake. Return to oven for 20 minutes more or until marshmallows are melted.
Remove from oven.
Cool for 20 minutes, then spread with icing.
