Bran Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. 100% rolled bran (not flakes)
1 1/4 c. skim milk
1 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. melted margarine
1/4 c. Egg Beaters or 1 egg
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped apple
Preparation

Mix bran and milk (set aside).
Blend flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda and set aside.
Mix margarine, egg and bran mix together.
Stir in raisins and apples.
Divide batter into two greased pans or muffin tins.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or so; test with toothpick.
Cool and top with powdered sugar or cream cheese.
