2 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
4 Tbsp. lemon juice
4 Tbsp. butter
lemon peel (optional)
Preparation

Boil together water, sugar and cornstarch.
Remove from fire. Add lemon juice and butter and cook until clear.
Add lemon peel if wanted.
