Savannah Red Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 strips bacon
2 green bell peppers, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
2 c. cooked rice
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 c. tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. pepper to taste
1 lb. cooked sausage (I use Hillshire smoked sausage)
Preparation

In a large skillet, fry bacon crisp. Remove to paper towel. Brown bell pepper and onions in drippings.
Add rice, tomatoes, sauce and crumbled bacon.
Add cooked sausage.
Pour into
greased 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until rice is dry enough to separate.
