Mushroom Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large onions, chopped
    6 carrots, sliced
    1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    1 lb. stew meat, cut into small cubes
    8 c. broth
    1 c. regular barley
    1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper
Preparation
    Prepare and put all in soup pot.
    Cover and cook on medium heat for 1 hour or longer.
    Test for doneness.
