Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. oil
    1/2 c. flour
    2 onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    4 ribs celery, chopped
    2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 can tomatoes
    1 small can tomato sauce
    2 c. okra (canned or frozen)
    1 lb. crabmeat (fresh or frozen)
    1 lb. shrimp (raw), peeled
    1 1/2 to 2 qt. water
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Make a dark roux with flour and oil. Add onions, pepper and celery and cook until tender. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste and water to make a thin soup consistency.
    Simmer about 30 minutes. Add okra, crabmeat and shrimp. Continue simmering for another 30 minutes.
    Serve over rice or corn bread.
