Mama'S Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    a right smart handful of hog lard or 1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mama places her flour in a large bowl, makes a well in the center of it and adds the lard and milk to it.
    Work it together and roll out.
    She pinched off small pieces of dough and rolled them in palm of hand to make a biscuit.
    Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven until golden brown.
