Sherried Walnuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sherry
1 1/2 tsp. lemon peel or orange peel
1 tsp. white corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation

Mix everything except nuts in a 2 quart saucepan.
Boil to the soft ball stage (238\u00b0 on a candy thermometer).
Remove from heat and add walnuts.
Stir until creamy.
Pour onto waxed paper and separate the walnuts with 2 forks.
Let dry before packing in airtight container to store.
