Pudding Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 serving size) pkg. Jell-O brand vanilla flavor cook and serve pudding and pie filling
    1 c. light or dark corn syrup
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 unbaked pastry shell (9-inch), thawed
    Cool Whip whipped topping (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Stir pudding mix into corn syrup in medium bowl until well blended.
    Stir in evaporated milk and egg.
    Mix in pecans.
    Pour into pastry shell.
    Bake for about 45 minutes, or until top is firm and just begins to crack.
    Cool at least 3 hours before cutting.
    Garnish with whipped topping.
    Store leftover pie in refrigerator.
