Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    2/3 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Combine
    flour and salt; cut in shortening.
    Add enough milk to\tmake
    a
    stiff\tdough.\tRoll
    very thin and cut into squares. Drop dumplings a few at the time into boiling broth. Sprinkle with
    black pepper.
    When broth boils over the dumplings,
    add more
    dumplings.
    Repeat
    until
    all the dough is used.
    Boil
    10 to\t15 minutes.
    These are good in ham broth, potato
    broth, chicken broth or neck bone broth or any kind of broth.
    Just
    boil something\tand throw some dumplin's in the broth!
