Spaghetti And Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 (No. 2) cans tomatoes
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1 c. water
    salt and pepper
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    parsley flakes
    2 cans mushrooms
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 green pepper
Preparation
    Place 3/4 cup chopped onion and 2 cloves garlic in oil in deep heavy pan and cook until tender (but not brown).
    Drain off remaining oil and add rest of ingredients.
    Simmer while making meat balls.
    After sauce has simmered for 3 to 4 hours, remove bay leaf and serve with Romano cheese.
