Tom'S Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large chopped onion
    2 large chopped green peppers
    1 lb. lean ground sirloin
    1 1/2 lb. round steak, sliced into thin strips
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    2 large bay leaves
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped up
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    salt to taste
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
    1 small or 1 large (to taste) jalapeno pepper from can of roasted, peeled jalapenos
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain.
    Add onions and green peppers.
    Cook until tender-crisp.
    Add all other ingredients. Simmer for 1 hour. Serve over rice.
