Meatless Manicotti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1/8 tsp. minced garlic
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. dried basil
    1 tsp. salt, divided
    1 (15 oz.) pkg. part-skim Ricotta cheese
    8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, grated
    1 egg
    1/8 tsp. ground pepper
    1/8 tsp. ground cloves or nutmeg
    8 oz. manicotti, cooked and drained
Preparation
    Heat oil in large saucepan. Add onion and garlic; cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, basil and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Bring to boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
