Easy Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 or 3 peaches, peeled and sliced
    3/4 c. sugar, if fresh peaches (1/2 c. sugar, if canned)
    1 c. boiling water, if fresh peaches (for canned, 1/2 c. hot water and 21/2 c. peach syrup)
Preparation
    Combine peeled and sliced peaches with sugar and water and set aside.
    Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, milk, melted butter and vanilla and
    pour into greased 8 x 12-inch baking dish.
    Spoon peaches over the mixture and pour remaining water (and syrup) on top.
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown in preheated 400\u00b0 oven.
