Cherry Almond Dessert - cooking recipe

2 cans (1 lb. 5 oz. each) cherry pie filling
1 (9 1/2 oz.) pkg. white or yellow cake mix
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. (1/4 lb.) melted butter
1/2 c. sliced nuts
Preparation

Combine pie filling, cinnamon and almond extract.
Spread in a greased 9 x 12-inch baking pan.
Sprinkle cake mix over the filling.
Drizzle melted butter over cake mix and sprinkle nuts. Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes or until lightly browned.
