Ingredients

1 1/2 c. Baker's shredded coconut (flakes)
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. chopped dates
2 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation

Combine sugar, dates and eggs in a large skillet.
Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until mixture pulls away from sides of pan (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and nuts.
Carefully stir in cereal.
Cool slightly.
Moisten hands in cold water and shape mixture into rolls or balls.
Roll in coconut flakes.
Chill and store in container in refrigerator. Makes about 2 dozen, according to size.
