Never Fail Pie Crust - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. cold shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    1 beaten egg
Preparation
    Mix flour and salt; cut in shortening until the mixture resembles corn meal.
    Add liquid ingredients.
    Chill and roll out. No matter how much the crust is handled, it comes out flaky. Bake single crusts at 425\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
    Follow recipe directions when doing double crust pies.
    Using a circle of foil around the edge of these for a few minutes during baking helps avoid overbaking the edges of the pies.
