Cornbread Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 egg whites
    1 c. skim milk
    1/2 c. applesauce
Preparation
    Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Spray cornbread or muffin tins with cooking spray.
    Place in oven for 5 minutes to heat while preparing batter.
    In a medium size bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and cornmeal.
    Set aside.
    Place egg whites in a 2-cup glass measure; add milk to measure 1 1/4 cups.
    Beat until thoroughly combined.
    Stir in applesauce.
    Pour egg white mixture, all at one time, into flour mixture.
    Stir until all dry ingredients are moistened.
