Hungarian Chicken Paprikas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large onions, chopped
3 Tbsp. Crisco
3 Tbsp. Hungarian paprika
2 pieces chicken per person, skin removed
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 green pepper (optional)
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 pt. sour cream
Preparation

Saute onion in Crisco until lightly brown.
Add chicken, paprika and enough water to almost cover.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and cook slowly until chicken is tender, approximately 30 minutes.
Mix flour and water along with sour cream; blend well.
Remove chicken, add cream mixture to drippings. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Serve over dumplings or noodles.
