Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. Baker's semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Beat the shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
    Blend in flour, soda and salt, then stir in chips and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Makes about 4 dozen.
