Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter
    1 pt. shelled oysters, drained
    5 c. milk
    1 c. cream
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan and add oysters.
    Cook 3 minutes over moderate heat, until edges of oysters curl.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Let heat almost to boiling point.
    Serve at once. Sprinkle paprika on each serving.
    Makes 6 servings.
