Chocolate Raisin Chewies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. all-vegetable shortening
    1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. raisins or combination of raisins and chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Combine shortening, brown sugar, water and vanilla in large bowl.
    Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
    Beat in eggs.
    Combine flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed until just blended.
    Stir in raisins.
    Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake one baking sheet at a time at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 9 minutes, or until cookies are set.
    Do not overbake.
    Cookies should be soft and moist.
    Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes.
    Remove to kitchen counter.
